I struggle to find adequate and accurate verbiage to characterize the impact that TMS has had on my life.

Approaching my 4 year anniversary since undergoing 6 weeks of TMS treatments leads me on a path of reflection, a historic review of sorts of my life pre-TMS, during TMS and post TMS, culminating in a place of immeasurable gratitude.

A description of the intense challenges and consequences of treatment resistant depression (TRD) to those who are afflicted is not necessary. It is enough to say the illness encompasses a continuum of pain, frustration, dysfunction, immobilization, turbulence, disappointment, loneliness, hopelessness, and for some, eventual suicide.

With this recognition stated, TMS + YOU provides a plethora of information, support, research data, answers to FAQ, topic specific forums, resources, etc., about a new, innovative, alternative treatment, now available to treatment TRD (and other off label conditions). This site services an inadequately met need for public awareness and education regarding this treatment option. TMS has been proven to be effective in treating many TRD patients, frequently with outcomes of complete remission of TRD symptoms. TMS + YOU provides an opportunity for all to learn and for patients and loved ones to be supported and eventually be supportive of those suffering.

To use a clique, TMS is a gift that “keeps on giving.” My life improves daily because of the brain chemistry changes I underwent as a result of TMS Treatments. It is sometimes difficult to absorb the reality of the steadfast and constant progress I make in all aspects of my life. My gratitude cannot be contained.

And now there is TMS + YOU which provides an opportunity for those suffering to learn about and consider this treatment option. So my message is this: Every person suffering with TRD deserves consideration and an opportunity to assess and to be assessed as to whether this treatment option is right for you. Most often the depressed thinking prevents us from considering our worthiness for such an opportunity. You deserve to work through that thinking, learn as much as you can and consult a doctor to see if you qualify as a candidate for this treatment. TMS can bring you out of the darkness and into the Light of Life. You can experience the Joy of this Season and for many Seasons to come with the successful treatment of TMS.
