Has anyone out there used TMS for OCD or heard any success stories? I read an article that TMS has been found useful for OCD patients that are not finding relief from medication and other traditional treatments. Thank you.
OCD treatment using TMS was just approved by the FDA utilizing the Brainsway H7 coil that few people as of yet have. Soon a new and deep coil for other machines will be available.
Yes, you can for OCD if your TMS treatment is going on. This treatment is just approved by doctors, and they have also confirmed about not happening any side effects of this treatment. My 70 years old granny is taking both of the treatment, though members of the family are quite busy in their busy schedule so we had to contact elder care lawyers in south jersey for taking care of elderly parents at home.
Unfortunately, as of right now only the deep coil developed by Brainsway reaches deep enough into the brain to be effective for OCD and even with that the research showed only 30% effectiveness. Skillful clinicians using Magventure and Cloud Neuro can use a different protocol and do a little better. Google OCD and TMS to find out the latest news on this promising technology, but as of yet is not quite there for the average provider.
