In 2013, the typical cost for a course of TMS Therapy ran from 8000 to 10000 dollars.
In New England, TMS now in 2014 costs around $15,000 on average, without insurance. There is variation nationwide.
I am surprised. In Malta we carried out a study about minimum wages, benefit quotas and subsidies. We are charging EUR600 for the whole course. This covers 2-3 weeks, depending on progress. As you know, we may need to continue the treatment sessions for up to 6 weeks.
crisismalta, in the US the big cost barrier is tied to insurance coverage. Without coverage, TMS can cost in excess of 10,000 (or about 350-500 per treatment session). However, with insurance coverage part or all of that cost can be compensated. More and more insurance providers are covering TMS, as its popularity grows and its effectiveness is documented. It would be great to see patients paying only 600.00 out of pocket for treatment!
