Hi everyone. I started Tms three days ago and would love to hear uplifting success stories. It’s so hard after years of despair to have hope that I will be one of those who have success with Tms. Thank you so much. Jenna

    Hi jennawriter:

It’s been a couple days since your post and sorry there’s been no replies. My word of encouragement is that whether TMS works for you or not (of course we’re HOPING it works!), but whether it works or not, you are still fighting for yourself and your health and that’s what matters. Going through a TMS course is hard no matter how you slice it – so many emotional ups and downs, plus the added general stress that comes with any medical treatment.

Regardless of what happens, you’ll be stronger for your decision to get better and one way or another you’ll be closer to your optimal health.

All the love and support, and please let us know how you’re doing!

Thank you Dave. Wise words. I have trouble being hopeful…depression brain isn’t prone to optimism! But I’m definitely staying the course for all six weeks. Praying for a great outcome. Thanks again!!

I was doing quite well over the weekend and then took a turn yesterday. Looking for support here too. Thank you everyone. I’m very grateful.

Jenna ,I am so sorry you are not doing any better. Is it against the rules to ask where people are getting treatment? If they receive talk therapy along with TMS ? If the people at the clinic are nice to you,a warm greeting, nice chats while the TMS is tapping on you head and reworking your brain? If you are told not to watch or listen to anything negative, bad, terrifying while your brain needs happy and positive reinforcements at TMS ,home and work.? If your placement of the coil on your head is in the correct spot ( did your thumb move involuntary and they moved the coil back 5 cm) ? If you were told not to change any medicines for 2-3 weeks before TMS and during the treatment (aspirin,Tylenol is fine for the headache the Wood Pecker may make)? If you have anxiety and are still depressed after about 15 treatments or so the coil has an extra 2000 taps it can do on the left or right side of your head for another 15-18 minutes (the2000 extra taps are thrown away at the end of your session) so if your still” IN TH BLACK HOLE “they can give it a try, it may work and you will be smiling and have pep in your step, did you know there were built in extras that you may need just 10 minutes more and it may just do the trick? I was one of those patients that needed the little extra taps when my father in law had a bad stroke and the next week my dog Little Bit of 15 years died. Did you know that when the FDA tested TMS for approval the Drs and staff were told to be indifferent, and not to talk to the patient, their influence may change the outcome of the test. I did a little experiment today. I called 4 TMS clinics ( in the north, south, east and west USA) 2 passed in my opinion and the other 2 flunked big time( don’t think they would help anyone overcome depression, probably add more trauma and who needs that). Well that my 2 cents on TMS,different clinics styles( good and bad ) and the little and big things that affect our brain. God Bless All Of Us,! Martha
