After some reflection on what I have seen on this forum I would like to compile some information on our symptoms and what treatment we received. This may shed some light on if this all from Neurostar treatments or there is some other factor that we share that may help us get help in the future or figure out what is happening to us.

If anyone feels comfortable speaking up, please email me at jamiehalls2013@gmail.com.

If you know anyone else who had been adversely effected by TMS, feel free to let them know as well.

I want to chime in here. I realize I am late to the party as well but I want our stories to be told. When I was introduced to TMS, I was told memory loss and other cognitive problems were only possible as temporary symptoms. This turned out to be untrue for me. I got my TMS treatment in June of 2018 and it is now Oct of 2019. I had no history of cognitive problems or any other serious health issues. During treatment I told the clinician that I had memory fog and felt light headed, they again told me it would go away. This continued for the duration of my treatment. I also developed tinnitus during the treatment and they said that would go away and it did not. So let’s fast forward to now, over a year later, I have been diagnosed with cognitive impairment. This included full impairment of my recall memory and impairment of my cognitive shifts, which is multitasking or our kind of desktop space used for memory. I also still have moderate tinnitus that has not gone away. I lost my job because my cognitive impairment is so severe. After I was diagnosed I presented the information to my employer because I was severely struggling at work and it was enough for them to let me go because they claimed they could not make a reasonable accommodation for it. I am going the the best neurology clinic in my state and one of the best in the nation and they have virtually no idea how to treat me and the doctor admitted that we could only experiment with treatments because this is all new territory.

I have consistently been told and read that this outcome was not possible with TMS but that is simply untrue as I am living proof. I was a healthy, high functioning person at the time I went in to TMS although I was suffering from depression. After the treatment I came out with several health problems and serious cognitive impairments that have disabled me and changed my life forever.

Please, please, please report any serious side effects to the FDA as I have.
